ART WORKSHOP for BEGINNERS Tuesday from 10 to 12 noon with a start date of Tuesday 3 january 2012 for 10 weeks.A variety to include water colour, glass painting, card making, acrylic painting, simple clay and jewellery making. Session topics will vary weekly.
Course fee £72 plus £10 for materials but reduced to a £5 registration fee plus £10 for materials if you are on a means tested benefit.

Jewellery Making a 10 week course with the next course to start Monday 17 October from 10 to 12.Suitable for students with some experience this course will refresh your skills and show you how to work with different types of beads and findings and how to make a range of earrings, bracelets and necklaces. You will learn how to work with wire, ribbon, cord, thread and chain.
There will be a charge of £50 for the course (£20 for those on means tested benefits)

Woodwork. Courses run on a Tuesday or Thursday from 1.30pm to 4.30pm for a 10 week course. Next courses are now full but you could be added to the waiting list. These courses are usually well subscribed to but places become available and cancellations and withdrawls happen. These courses are suitable for all levels of practical ability but ability to use measuring instruments, follow simple instruction and retain knowledge from week to week is essential. You can decide in discussion with the tutor what you would like to make. Support will then be offered throughout the course to help you in making your 'project'. There will be a course fee of £109.80 plus £10 for permitted materials reducing to £5 plus £10 for permitted materials if you are on a means tested benefit but there may be an additional charge for extra materials.

Basic DIY. Next course is not yet planned but would be on a Tuesday in 2012. This course will cover some of the basic skills such as tiling, changing a tap washer and wiring an electric plug etc. There will be a charge of £72 plus £5 materials for materials but if on a means tested benefit this could be reduced to £5 registration plus £5 materials fee.

Patchwork Quilting & Needlework. This new course starts on Thursday 20 January 2012 from 10am to 12 pm for 10 weeks. There will be a charge of £73.20 plus £10 for materials (reducing to £5 registration plus £10 for materials if on means tested benefits). Suitable for beginners and the more advanced this course is for people who wish to learn how to create a patchwork quilt as a group. Each individual will create patchwork from their own design or picture. This course will also be open for people who want to create their own patch work and explore different methods in sewing and embroidery.
