Gaining Confidence through Bushcraft and Rural Skills. 10 week course on a Thursday. Next course will begin 15 September 2011. Transport is provided from the Carlton Centre to different locations and back. These locations could include woodland, a farm or a beach. Activities will be determined by the weather but could include creating shelters in the woods, making benches, making lunch over a fire or pit oven, orienteering, farm tours, stories around a bonfire, carving a spoon, weaving or spinning and other creative outdoor activiites. Students should wear suitable clothing and bring a packed lunch.
There will be a course fee of £219.60 plus £70 for materials and transport reducing to £5 plus £15 for materials and transport if on a means tested benefit.

Supported Walking groups. For details please contact Jan on 01934 426442 on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday. Walks held every other Thursday meeting at FRIEND, 39 oxford St at 1.30pm. A gentle walk for half an hour or so. Every Tuesday from the Carlton Centre starting at 10.00 for about 5 miles.
